Well, I need to fill my tank up on the way to the theatre tonight...  And, hopefully, it will not take me nearly an hour to get downtown tonight like it did last night.  UGH!  I'm only 12.8 miles away!

I can't wait for the days where I just have to hop the A/C/1/9 train to work!

:)

Once more a huge thank you to the "Welcomes".
I've missed so many times to say "Congratulations" and such to so many over this past week.  I have appreciated the support of all the Kimlets and Hainsies over this not pleasant time.

I've so far only caught up with "Curiosity Killed the Cat" and was pleased to start there with the photographs of Bogie and Bacall.

My special thoughts to DR Jane. You know.

The studio can hold over 100 musicians - we had ten singers and a piano.  WAY off in the distance you will see where we put the singers - the piano is in a booth opposite them.

Why on earth would you expect snide remarks?

There's nothing snarky about any of those folks in those pictures (although one of them looks like he's ready to play Ebenezer Scrooge on Broadway)

Luckily, I wasn't around during the '70s, so I don't have to admit to wearing bell bottoms or anything crazy like that. But I do like looking at pictures of my dad in leisure suits.

And there is nothing wrong with saddle shoes. They are beautiful and comfortable and beautiful. So there.

Evening all!  A busy day here at HHW, so much to comment on!

Glad you made it home safe, BK.  I’m also glad you had a very productive trip.  I would like to know if it might be possible that you might be joining us in NYC for the October gathering.  That would be great!

So are you going to dish the dish?

Wonderful photos!  Always good to “see” everyone.  I was very glad to get a look at DR Elmore to see that he is ok.

I’m equally grateful to see DR TomovOz posting and among us once again.

Continued get well vibes to both of you Gentlemen.

Congrats to your son, DR Ginny!  Good for him!  Like you, I put in for my vacation and saw it was APPROVED for the week of October 3-7.  It seems like everything is falling into place.

Say, I didn’t see anyone answer my question about the weather in October.

DR Jose, no rush.  I can send you a hard copy if you need/want one but you need to tell me where.

I also have special thoughts to DR Jane.

I am so looking forward to tonight’s episode of “Lost”.  It’s about the last show that I look forward to each week.  Now that “Joan of Arcadia” is canceled and “JAG” is over, it’s slim pickings for me.

I can’t believe I left a word out of my post about the dogs and chains.  I hope you understood I meant to say:

I just hope that the new homes solution is NOT (as in NOT, NOT, NOT)  a tree and a chain.

My fingers know not what they type sometimes.  :-\

Time for photographs.  Here is the control booth and mixing board of Right Track studios.

Every time I see a photo of those boards, I want sit behind one and play with the knobs to see what they do.

I think everyone knew what had happened, context-wise.  We also know you too well to think what you had typed originally was what you meant.   :D

In case you didn't already know, one of the producers of MAURICE has passed away.  :-[

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050525/ap_en_mo/obit_merchant

And I can't believe how they ended the obit!

Merchant was unmarried and had no children.

What a slap in the face to James Ivory who was his life and business partner for over 44 years. It was not a secret that they were a couple.

LOL DRELMORE.  Well there goes your special thanks line.

DRDANISE after all the previous discussion, I thought you typed you always wanted to sit behind one of those beards and play with the knobs.....however you typed BOARDS.....after I read it again.

What wonderful NYC photos.  What a great studio!  Looks ultra modern and fitting for the initial KRITZERLAND CAST ALBUM release!

DRMBARNUM - if I am not mistaken Diane McBain meets a grisly end in THE MINI SKIRT MOB - when her motorcyle sticks in reverse gear and she goes over a cliff.  I didn't know motorcycles had reverse gears, but someone can inform me if so.

Well, I revised that comment, as you can see, but I find him a limited talent trying to launch his own career on the coattails of his betters, namely P.G. Wodehouse and Noel Coward.  His research in his complete lyrics of Wodehouse was poor, his notes inaccurate, and a lot of his errors could have been corrected by examining the program files of the NYPL Theatre Collection.

We have friends in common, Robert Kimball being one of them, but he's not my friend nor am I his.
