Boy, I agree about Owen Wilson. His popularity amazes me. He's the Raquel Welch of this generation! Totally without talent on screen.

Trust our dear TCB to find something sprightly to say about DR MBarnum and his night in the loft.  :D

Well, the modem in my laptop has bit the dust, so I'm digging an old card modem out of an old laptop and seeing if I can get it to work in the new laptop. (Yes, you guessed it; I'm on a desktop computer at the moment.) Will be back later with a progress report.

Well, with all that talk of exhaustion, I wasn't sure if Mr. Barnum was bragging or complaining!

Oh, BTW, I just read an outstanding interview that Michael Buckley did with Roger Bart at the Playbill.com website. Most entertaining, and I was amazed at how many folks Roger is close to in the theater, and now that he's appearing regularly on TV, he'll make quite a few friends in that end of the business, too. If you like Roger Bart, you'll want to read this.

Do not put the ice cream in the oven, DRGinny!

Wondered how long it would take someone to pick up on that!  I can always count on you, dear elmore!

DR Tom, please pass along my very best thoughts and wishes to Dr OzDerek.

I have a very carefree life for the most part, but in the back of my mind is ALWAYS a dread that the good health that I've enjoyed my entire life could end so unexpectedly. Believe me, when I read of others' problems, I KNOW how lucky I am. Health is one thing I will NEVER, EVER take for granted again, and I have many of the folks here to thank for that.
Consider it done DR Matt.

DR TomovOz, please tell DR OzDerek that he is thought of and that there is something in the mail, winging it’s way to him.   :)

Thank you DR Danise

Card modem installed and seems to be working just fine. What a relief to have this computer fullly functioning again!

The barbecue I'm going to starts at four, but they're not actually eating until five-thirty, so I think I'll get there around four-forty or so.

When I've gone to cookouts before like the one you're attending bk, I am usually so ravenous waiting to eat (despite the inevitable appetizers that will be there) that I usually overindulge. Hard to resist food once it IS served.

On the other hand, it IS only once a year. Have a good time!

Last post at 3:05.  Not in this universe, baby!  I'm off to the barbecue, and I'd best not be seeing any two-hour lulls upon my return, otherwise I will bitch-slap everyone with a rib.

A new "Big Brother" -- "Big Brother 6" -- starts up this comiing Thursday.

I also see that "The High and the Mighty" and "Island in the Sky" -- long-out-of-circulation John Wayne films -- will be airing on AMC July 16 & 17.  They're both due out on DVD in the next month or so.

Also, this Friday is the season premiere night for Sci-Fi's "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate: Atlantis" for those into these series (like me).  Ben Browder, star of "Farscape", joins the "Stargate SG-1" cast this season.

Tomovoz and Hisaka thank you for the birthday wishes. It is a fun day here. :)

Hope everyone who celebrates had a nice day.  We went to our small town parade, walked around the art fair and stopped for lunch.  Then we went to the market and I have been cooking and baking since then for as we are having company tomorrow night.

Hisaka as beautiful outside as you are inside.

SWW I like the thought of wishing someone a pleasant day.  I’m sure by personalizing your words they are said with real warmth.

DRLaura thanks for the fireworks.  I will hear them but not see any.  Our friends have left or we would go see them tonight.
