Soor again ( I keep apologizing lately) for all the E & T bu this is really the crazy season here at  work which means its the worse possible time for me to be going on vacation.  I shall have to leave wine and choclate for my dear co worker Paula to help her cope!

I am leaving for Grande Prairie, Alberta Canada on Saturday... which calls for a pretty long plane trip... LaGuardia to Toronto to Calgary to Grande Prairie... and on the way back Grande Praire to Edmonton to Ottawa to La Guardia

Longest Walk... 20 miles when I was 16 for the March of Dimes Walkathon

Longest Bike Ride 30 miles when I was 17 with my Church Youth Group

Longest car drive (with me doing all the driving, just my mom,
a 2 1/2 year old Vixter and me) from Long Island to Savannag , GA, to  St John's Island, Fl  to Kissemmee, FL to Gulfport, MS to New Orleans, LA and finally back to Long Island

Well, the furry brown meowing lump is now on the floor chasing around a toy mouse, so I don't have an excuse to not do my homework any more.

Bye!

Nope, Buick Century, but Dinah was the inspiration for the title!

I'm up, I'm up.

Very overcast right now - hopefully it will burn off.

I'm not much of a bike rider, but when my pal David Wechter lived in North Hollywood in the late eighties, he had an extra bike and one day we biked from his house (near Moorpark and Tujunga) all the way to Balboa Park in Encino (about ten to twelve miles) and then back again (about ten to twelve miles).  All I remember is that I couldn't move for about three days.

Walking - I walk like crazy in NY - but, when I lived there in 1969, I once walked from somewhere in Brooklyn to the upper West Side and then back down to the Village.  How many miles would that be?

In case anyone else is bored...

http://jasonbratton.blogs.friendster.com/my_blog/

...some fun stories from my childhood involving the Dutch. And a fun game I play called, "Imaginary Community Theatre Bios." I like that one a lot.

My favorite was the entry about "The Color Purple: The Musical" and your imagined song titles.

Now I have to watch the movie this weekend 'cause of all the good memories you've brought back!

DR Jason:  Are the Geertein stories true, or just fun?

Ron P: I'm afraid that every last word of the Geertein stories are true. In fact, with the exception of the Community Theatre Bios, everything in my blog is true.

Isn't that horrifying?

OK, homework's done. That wasn't so bad. I'm now back at the computer and underneath my furry brown meowing lump.

WRITE A BOOK!

Believe it or not, I've thought about it, but I'm not sure anyone would be interested. I haven't even gotten to the stories about Sally Ann or the time I threw up in front of my entire elementary school during the 5th grade choir concert.

I smell a best seller!

I'LL BE BACK BEFORE MIDNIGHT is flying along.  We injured our leading man last night, but he will be on tonight, hopefully not  adding insult to injury.

Finished the choreography for Magic To Do - it is much easier since I got the set design!  Well I didn't actually get the set design, since the director said something like, oh I am going to have a platform sort of there and a platform sort of there....kind of like that, I don't know.  So I designed a set and we will put it up after we strike MIDNIGHT on Saturday and then he won't have to wonder what his set will be.  That's the plan, anyway.

The ntoes were very interesting.

I am on my way ... today ... but soon I will be back in my regular form here on HHW...with more time for fun.  I know I am NOT busy as many of our regulars here are BUSY...but time is short for a director.

SOON IT'S GONNA BE OVER!

I've been listening to "Falsettos" and I was wondering - does anyone know what Michael Rupper is up to lately?  I can't seem to find anything about him on the 'net.

Good Morning!

Feeling a little out of sorts this morning...  -I think I may have had an anxiety attack last night around 4:00am or so...  Or it might have been the Bolivian food I had for dinner...  Or both...

Anxiety attack?  I don't Bolivia!

Question for all you tv watchers. Have any of you seen a show on UPN called Veronica Mars?  It is being run here for the last couple of months on CTV (they decided to run it during the summer instead of all season).

I must say I'm loving it.  I tend to think it might appeal more to women (it's about a 16-17 yr old Nancy Drew type highschooler).  I think it's one of my favorite shows.  So hopefully CTV will continue to show it in the Fall.

He was just in something at Vassar, according to our DRJose.

Interesting...I thought that there was going to be just the one sequel to BROADWAY:  THE GOLDEN AGE, but it appears that Rick McKay is working on two of them.  As far as I'm concerned, this should be an ongoing series.

Longest auto ride: From Phoenix to Ohio, by way of North Carolina and Washington DC, visiting relatives along the way.

Longest auto trip alone: Phoenix to Chicago, to help MIL get ready to move to The Home.

Longest auto trip with just DR Sandra: To Colorado Springs to pick up someone and bring her home.

Longest walk: I dunno. I used to hike and backpack a lot in high school.
