Another reason for loving DR Elmore.
I don't groan - I appreciate the mind that works that way.

Thank you Ron. Good to be amongst "fallow" minds.

Awww, words don't usually fail me, but you're being way too generous.  I should have been on the stage when it left 10 minutes ago.  Or under it.

Absolutely hellish day. Worked about four hours in the broiling sun (with frequent water breaks) and must have sweated a gallon of salty sweat, most of it going into my eyes. But we got that d**n pod unloaded for the most part. There is still one heavy piece of furniture (it must go upstairs) that I told him I simply had no more strength to do and I was afraid I would drop it if I tried. So we called it an afternoon.

Ihave been swilling water since I got home.

And that OTHER Broadway special - BROADWAY: THE AMERICAN MUSICAL garnered a bunch of Emmy nominations this morning.

I must say I do love my friend Jeff's condo. Three bedrooms - two full baths - and the master bedroom is on the ground floor. There is also a loft space upstairs that he's going to use as his workroom when he costume designs and does other freelance design work. A really nice, liveable place and very reasonably priced for around here.

It's so interesting having a label again.  Every day brings interesting phone calls, in fact, I just had one.  Lots in the ether right now, and I'm hoping some of the calls pan out.

The other good news I had today was that Vinnie found a place that can transfer the sixteen track multi-track tape for Stages - which means I can now remix the entire album from scratch, except for the four songs on the missing reel.  Those we'll just have to make sound as good as we can from the album master.  But the other eleven or so songs will hopefully  be much improved - I'm going to add a couple of instruments to a handful of tracks, too, which will be lovely.  So, we're doing the transfer on Monday morning, and Vinnie will be able to start prepping the mixes on Tuesday.  Very exciting.

Sad to say, no DVDs watched today, but I got to listen to the HAIRSPRAY OCR on my way to and from Jeff's place. Hadn't heard it in quite awhile, not since it was first released.

DR Jose, LOL! a DVD player on my bicycle handlebars. It'd work, but without the surround sound from a multi-speaker set-up, it just wouldn't be all it could be.

I guess I'll just sit in my den and watch them in the conventional way.

If you take a trip to the Orient, and you fall ill, are you said to be suffering from Malaysia?

DR Matt H:  I'm guessing you're gonna be a tad sore tomorrow from today's exertions.

Make sure you replace your lost salts, as well.

But where are the Bicycle songs? We could have written them in tandem. On tandem - whatever.

"Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head," from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - don't think the word "bicycle" is in that song, but the visual is there!

On the LP - the reprise is listed as "A Bicycle built for Joy" I think. Thanks DR Ginny.

DR elmore - great photos from Houston!

I read in the NY Times online about a building collapse not far from you today.  Were you aware of it?

Speaking of being aware of things today, I spotted 2 (count 'em, 2) unattended backpacks under tables in the library this afternoon and the security guards were so indifferent.  Guess something has to blow up before people begin to pay attention.

...And then there was that Bus & Truck Tour of Anything Goes I did.  We started in Logan, UT, and ended up in Red Bank, NJ about 53 days later.  In the meantime, we drove through all but seven of the contiguous United States; we drove through the Badlands; and we even drove across Texas (with overnight stops in Amarillo (ugly city)) THREE TIMES!!!

I agree! Here is my story.

I caught a bus in Amarillo. It was going to San Antone. I had a brand new cardboard suitcase and a window seat alone. Oh I thought that I was something and dreamed I's travel far. Maybe be a radio DJ or be a movie star. The bus from Amirillo raced a train along the track, but I never looked behind me. Cause I wasn't coming back. I had a one way ticket to nowhere. I was finally traveling free.

I believe the building may have been near ex Hainsies Noel and Joy. Hope they too are OK.

100th Street and Broadway; I haven't heard of any deaths, just injuries including a baby who might have been saved by the stroller it was in.
