75 posts doesn't get you to another level, IIRC, does it?  Or should that be: 75 posts don't get you to another level, do they?

I guess I'll find the answer soon enough, anyway.

I thought it was over 100 posts to be a senior member.  Am I mistaken?

Is there a senior discount, by the way?

Happy Birthday to DR Der Brucer!

Btw, I don't know if anybody mentioned this, but Adrien Brody is NOT in THE VILLAGE, that is Joaquin Phoenix.  I actually really enjoyed this movie.  I was actually scared!  And unlike THE FORGOTTEN, i found the explanation very believable.

Umm, Jennifer?  According to imdb.com, The Village stars:

Bryce Dallas Howard ....  Ivy Walker
Joaquin Phoenix ....  Lucius Hunt
Adrien Brody ....  Noah Percy
William Hurt ....  Edward Walker
Sigourney Weaver ....  Alice Hunt
(more)

Thanks for the info, DR George.

Well, I can't get any more Full than I am right now.  So Full Membership is enough of a goal for now.

I almost thought that said Joaquin Phoenix's character was named Luscious Hunk.  Seemed like a male version of an Ian Fleming character ( a la Truly Scrumptious and Pussy Galore). :)

Thanks DR George. I didn't remember that he was in that movie.

Boy I woke up feeling crappy today.  No symptoms like sore throat ... just a general fatigue and yellow goop coming out of my nose!  :(

I think I'd also like to write a book about how ignorant some of my customers are.  It just amazes me that people don't read legal documents before signing and returning them. Or that they just return them without signing at all! It's ridiculous.

Here's a sample dialogue based on an actual phone call I received last spring:

Me: Music Theatre. How may I direct your call?
Her: I'd like to order ANNIE.
Me: What state are you calling from?
Her: Oh, I'm not calling from a state. I'm calling from a Junior High School.
Me: Yes, but what STATE are you calling from?
Her: Oh! Haha...sorry. Chicago.

These are the people who are teaching our children. Be afraid!

DR Jason  - You should have said "What state's Chicago in?"  and seen if they'd follow up with "ILL"   :)

One of our dear readers is going to get a sparklingly sparkling prize, because he has been doing his sleuthing work - he has located Randi Kallan, and potentially (and very likely) Colleen McLean.  I've left a message for Sammy Williams, but he's on vacation right now, and who knows if he even wants to remember the show.  I left a message for the only number I could find for Ed Morgan, but I have a bad feeling that he may have passed on.  Still having trouble finding a good number on Phil Clark.

Hehe... First rule of HHW.com: There is no groaning allowed. ;)

Someone is eating something that seriously smells scrumptious and I have 28 minutes before I can take my lunch break. :( You wouldn't know it from looking at me, but I'm starving!!

Actually, the keys seem very "normal" to me.  Nothing lower than Diahann Carroll.  I think you'll be surprsed

Yeah...the guy who was telling me about Rita's keys said that they were most likely Diahann's. I believe Ms. Linda Balgord was the only Norma to sing the role in the original "Patti" keys, but I may be mistaken. Maybe Elaine did...? Any insight??

EDIT: Now that I think on it, I believe Karen Mason may have done the original keys, too. I dunno... So many Normas, so little information!

DR MattH: I'm so glad you enjoyed SPELLING BEE. My friend Lisa plays Rona Lisa Piretti/Olive's Mother. It's truly surreal to see your pals in a Broadway show. At one point I knew four people in HAIRSPRAY all at the same time. Anyway, Lisa and I did MOBY DICK! together. Did I ever send you a copy of the CD? She's FABULOUS. Send me your address...I'll send you copy of the recording.

Linda B sang in Patti's keys from what I can tell from the little tour CD that I acquired.  Elaine's keys where more in line with Glenn's - except for "With One Look" which is 1/2 step lower.  Actaully, Diahann's and Petula's  keys were almost the same, and since Rita took over for Pet while she was on vacation, who knows that they altered for just a month of one person.  Using the Glenn and the Patti recording as references, a lot of the times, my ears will perk up when something sounds "new".  Because the Rita recording is chopped up so much it's hard to tell relation to the other numbers.  If that makes sense.

Did you actually get to see Linda in the tour? Louisville was the second or third scheduled stop, but the show closed in Denver, if I recall correctly, which was its opening city. I saw the revised tour starring Petula and Lewis Cleale. I spoke with Lewis at a benefit and told him that I saw him in that tour. He replied, "Oh, YOU'RE the one!" :)

Cute typo - got an email from a hotel chain offering "special rats for this weekend" - they must have been privy to the recent discussion here of rodent movie posters.

The First National tour was suppose to open the newly refurbished Orpheum theatre in SF but it closed before the opening happened.  I saw the Petula Clark tour (twice).  I saw Linda in "Cats" and thought she was awesome and would have loved to have seen her in SB.  I'll check with my SB guru pal and see if there is uh... well... something to "see" with Linda in SB.  I do have an audio of Linda in "Aspects of Love" with Ron Bohmer - while I like him (I actually saw him with Sarah Brightman in the show - nice to look at :)  )  she was a bit over the top.  Sarah wasn't the best actress either!!!

Ron Bohmer was really great with Mark Kudisch in THE THING ABOUT MEN - really an underrated show, I thought.
