Today is National Handwriting Day.

Conversely, it is also Better Business Communication Day.

According to my Futurama calendar, it's National Pie Day!  Celebrate and have a pie...or at least a piece! ;D

Good Morning!  Good Just-Afternoon!

Ah, nothing like some sleep.  And it was a good sleep.  And it feels like it did some good for my back too.  I'm very tempted to go for a run, workout, etc., but I think I'm just gonna take it easy for one more day...  Or at least until the rain clears up later this afternoon...

...And I have to say that "Charm Song" from A Class Act is actually kind of fun.  And annoying - but in a good way.  ;)  That "hook" - "Charm song..." - is most definitely catchy.  But not necessarily in a good way.  ;)

Waiting for my friend (who's driving us to lunch) to get here, so I thought I'd jump back in the forum and post a bit.

I see no need to remake BUTCH CASSIDY. I can't imagine any colors, any textures, or any originality that THOSE TWO could bring to it that aren't in the original.

I read this morning that THE OFFICE is endings its season earlysince its star is making a movie. But the show (and MY NAME IS EARL) has been renewed for 22 episodes next season. That's good news.

A new comedy will go into the Thursday 9:30 slot for the duration of the season.

Jrand, installation in the library will be finished probably Wednesday, though I might require extra shelves.  The wall of bookcases in the office will take a little longer because I asked for them to wrap it around another wall.  But come Wednesday, books are coming out of boxes.

Those oter NBC changes. LAS VEGAS will move to Fridays at 9. The new Dick Wolf lawyer drama CONVICTION will be on Fridays at 10 after the Winter Olympics is over.

Biggest surprise - LAW & ORDER is moving an hour earlier to 9 p.m. A new drama is going in at 10.

Charm song.

I like the CAMELOT title tune.

One of my favorites....I will have to think about some others - but I don't know (at this moment) any that I like better...

Great news....do you shelve by author, by subject, or by size and color?

DR CP - since you are now within driving distance - perhaps this summer you and DW Juliana can travel up to Greencastle and see a show at the barn.  NOT professional theatre, but Greencastle (home of DePauw University) is a nice college town, and the Walden Inn is a nice place to stay for a couple of days.   The site is under construction but there are a few pictures.

I'm up, I'm up.

Charm song is exactly what it described in the Kleban lyric - a song from a musical that may not make you emotional, may not bring you to tears, may not necessarily advance the plot, may not make you laugh out loud, but simply makes you smile.

Popular is indeed a good example, as is Wouldn't It Be Loverly.

Disney meeting is postponed - don't like that.  But, I think she wants me to look at the tapes first, and we're finding out why they didn't arrive.

Annette would not be pleased either - she could walk in to see Walt Disney ANYTIME.  8)

Why the tapes didn't come: Because she who sent them checked standard overnight delivery, which means they won't be here until this afternoon.  I think she thought overnight would get them here on Saturday - I guess she didn't see the Saturday delivery box.

Hello!  I am caught up.

I have had my hairs colored, cut and coifed... I have had my hands manicured, my feet pedicured, my back massaged and am wearing my brand new rimless progressive lensed spectacles.

To my chagrin, the mirror reveals I  am still an overweight middleaged woman.. damn and blast!

I guess I really am going to have to consider that dreaded alternative....

diet and exercise..

the very words cause me to shudder!

Speaking of BUTCH AND SUNDANCE: THE EARLY YEARS (which was a flop at the box-office), I read this morning that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are considering a remake of BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID.

Let me predict now if they do such a terrible, horrendous thing, it will flop bigger than huge.

As I like both performers, I think it might be sort of fun!

I bought this magazine at the library bookfair.  It is my favorite Kraft mag but from last year. Only thing is it's in french.  I never realized how much easier it is to read recipes in your first language.  They have this abbreviation (c.) which i guess must mean teaspoon or tablespoon. Only i don't know which one. :)
