Tonight's update on my Dad is not good: I may need to fly back to Ohio on Tuesday if the news tomorrow is as bad as the news I got this afternoon.  Please send him all the vibes you can!

PAGE FOUR!

-With an assist from DR SWW and his Sauerkraut Ice Cream Recipe - which reads more like a granita recipe of sorts.

How pleasing to be no where near Chicago on August 12. Patti in "Gypsy".  Some people......

If you listen carefully, you'll be able to hear her no matter where you are.  And that's without amplification.  (Technically, she'll be at the Ravina from the 11th through the 13th.)

I'm trying to imagine putting Patti in a vocal competition with Betty Buckley.

Not for the weak of heart.

Further research shows that the Japanese are far more fluent in ice cream than even I would have guessed.

Rodzinski - In a similar vein, do you know this song?

On the Amazon Lyrics
Artist(Band):Don McLean

On the Amazon Lyrics

There's a danger zone, not a stranger zone
Than the little plot I walk on that I call my home
Full of eerie sights, weird and skeery sights
Ev'ry vicious animal that creeps and crawls and bites!!

On the Amazon, the prophylactics prowl On the Amazon, the hypodermics howl On
the Amazon, you'll hear a scarab scowl and sting zodiacs on the wing

All the stalactites and vicious vertebrae
Hunt the stalagmites while laryngitis slay
All that parasites that come from Paraguay in the spring
Hmm, hmm hmmm

Snarling equinox among the rocks will seize you
And the fahrenheit comes out at night to freeze you

Wild duodenum are lurking in the trees
And the jungle swarms with green apostrophes
Oh, the Amazon is calling me

On the Amazon, the pax vobiscum bite
On the Amazon, the epiglottis fight
On the Amazon, the hemispheres at night all slink where the agnostics drink

All the hippodromes that lie concealed in mud
Hunt the metronomes that live in swamp and flood
Then the kodachromes run out and drink their blood, poor ginks

While velocipedes among the weeds will scare you
And the menopause with hungry jaws ensnares you

Frenzied adenoids infest the hills and slopes
Everyone avoids the deadly stethoscopes

Oh, the Amazon is calling
Yes, the Amazon is calling
Oh, the Amazon is calling me-ee!!

Well, I suspected this might happen...

Sweeney Todd Takes His Final Slice on Broadway Sept. 3; Tour Planned

I know that Michael Cerveris and Patti LuPone did extend their contracts through Thanksgiving, but I guess the summer doldrums at the Box Office just weren't enough to keep it going.  -And the September 3rd closing also happens to be very convenient in regards to Alexander Gemignani's departure as he begins rehearsals for the "revival" of Les Miserables.  Guess that's why I haven't gotten the call.  ;)

RE: IE for Mac - If you're used to using IE on a Mac, now would be the time to switch over to Safari and/or Firefox for Mac since Microsoft is no longer supporting IE for Mac.

Yeah, DR Jose, I rarely mess with IE on my eMac because Safari works so well.  When I need something that requires IE, I usually just wait until I'm at work and use the PC there.  Haven't tried Firefox, but maybe it's time.

Oh, I found myself a nice buy on a new desk chair at Office Depot today.  More assembly work by DH Richard and DS Rob.  It's just what I wanted and replaces the chair that my parents bought for my first study desk when I was in 7th grade.
