As for Ask BK Day...

-Since I'm too lazy right now to search for the answer...

When exactly will you be back in NYC again?

Actually, I haven't said.  I come in on August 23rd, and leave early in the morning on the 27th.

OH!  So you'll be in town for my birthday!! ;)

And for mine!  But I won't be there. :'(

Hi.  I'm in Craig & Ioana's apartment in Philly.  I had a great time at the Phillies game last night, except for the fact they lost, with Craig and 4 of my friends.

Well, maybe Craig and 4 of your friends shouldn't have played for the Phillies.

I just had a phone call with a wonderful offer! I can say no more for now, but it's a goody!

Is it money or sex or both?

How about "North by Northwest" for a Hitchcock film-turned-musical?

"Mr. Kaplan, We Presume"/"Call Me Roger, Fellas" (a duet)
"Bourbon and Brakes Don't Mix"
"A Murder in the U.N. Doesn't Translate"
"The Upper Berth Strain" or "The Pain from Train Stays Mainly Unexplained"
"Miss Kendall, You Got Some 'Splainin' To Do"
"The Cropduster Ballet"
"I Bid $4.95...No, Make That $3 Million...No, Wait..."
"Let Go of Lincoln's Nose and Take My Hand"

Irish coffee this morning?

DR Jeanne - today I also had a bad experience with timing in a medical office.  My appointment this morning was for 8:30 and I was to fast for blood work (including no coffee).  It wouldn't have been too bad, even with my severe caffeine addiction, if they'd seen me quickly and sent on my way.  But, no-o-o-o, I waited more than 30 minutes to be called, another 15 or so for the doctor, and another 15 or so for the nurse to come back to take blood and to set up my referral for the ultrasound.  By this time, I'd been up for almost 4 hours was nearly ready to pass out, so came home for coffee and breakfast before proceeding to the imaging place.  When I didn't show up there immediately, the imaging place called the doctor's office who called me to find out where I was.  The person who called from the doctor's office just happens to be the doctor's wife and she said, "Well, now you'll have to wait when you get there."  And now, they haven't bothered to call me with the results of the ultrasound.  And I still have a residual caffeine-deprivation headache.

Well, I'm leaving now.  My dad and I are going to a Seattle Sounders soccer (football) game at Qwest Field.  The tickets are for box seats, too!

Until later!

No.  I've pressed a few DVDs, so if you want one drop me an e-mail.  I'll be responding to those who did tomorrow.

Good news, George.  Are you reading for a specific role or the ensemble (who get to play many roles).  And just tell the director that if you're cast, the writers will come up to see you!

Druxy, it would be helpful to know which disc you watched.  All Blu-Ray discs are not made equal.

RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN from Disney.  Not really my kind of movie, but I had to review it for my newsletter.

Also, my player is a Samsung, only 4 months old.

Good Evening!

The Good News: I'm back from dinner with DR elmore.  The conversation was sparkling, and the gossip was dish-icious!  -And I really think that DR elmore should write two books: 1) his memoirs, and 2) a very "friendly" textbook covering the orchestrators, orchestrations and the traditions of American Musical Theatre.

The Bad News: We had planned to dine at our beloved La Cocina for some Mexican food, but it appears La Cocina is no more, no mas.  The gates were down, and even all the signage had been taken down.  :(

The Good News: We ended up enjoying some wonderful Indian food at the new UWS location of Baluchi's - which happened to take the place of the Hannafin's.

*And since Baluchi's is literally around the corner from DR elmore's place, DR MBarnum won't have to head into Queens for some good Indian food when he comes for a visit. In fact, since Baluchi's delivers, he wouldn't even have to leave DR elmore's apartment.  Although, I'm not sure if they're able to deliver to fire escapes. ;)
