Had a lovelier than lovely lunch with dear reader Jeanne at Hugo's, which contained this classic Jeanne moment:  Jeff Goldblum is walking from his table to the front door, saying hi to several people as he does.  I say, "Oh, there's Jeff Goldblum."  Jeanne looks around, doesn't really know WHERE to look despite the very tall and distinctive Mr. Goldblum, finally focuses on him and then turns back to me and utters this classic - "I don't know who he is

Yes, we're getting it. Right now only precdicting about 5 inches of snow and wind.   The higher snow amounts are very nearby and ice instead of snow is nearby on the other side, so it could be much different than predicted if it moves just a little bit

There was a 100 car pile up on I94 just west of West FArgo..  The interstates are now closed and the are advising no travel in FArgo

Glad to see you posting.  I was sincerely hoping that you weren't on I-94

I read about it on the Forum website... I was glad i was at work..

I think I mentioned earlier this week when we were discussing theatre, that my most fun of 2010 was seeing BRAINEX Indiana style with MR BK, DR CP, EVIL KURT, and then partying with the cast afterwards.

Not a highlight but THE highlight of my year.....unless something pretty darn spectacular happens tomorrow.

Last Thursday evening of 2010.....hard to believe.

Last night I watched THE LAVENDER HILL MOB which I had never seen.....and had in fact avoided.  It was a most enjoyable and delightful movie.  Now I want to see it again!
Wouldn't mind watching that one again myself.

It was in the upper 70s here today. Almost like spring.

Oy, oy, oy, treacherous driving to and from my gig tonight.  Portlanders are awful in snow, but they usually do better in ice, but not tonight.  On the way there there was some kind of accident off to the right with a line of police cars, but at least the roads weren't too icy.  Coming back it was 28, and on the way I saw one car on its side, plus the pickup in front of me starting fishtailing wildly and momentarily went into oncoming traffic, and OF COURSE the person in back of me wants to tailgate.  I can't stand people sometimes.  ;)

I was awakened at 12:15am by footsteps and heavy thuds coming from the apartment above me and I knew it was no ghost. I put on my robe and made a trip to the 4t floor to find 6 young men and women between the ages of 19 and 25 checking out the apartment. At 12:15 AM?

So, I just sent the landlord an email asking WTF? I think the young Russian(?) blonde is my new neighbor. Shoot me.

Just finished watching a 1978 exploitation film titled HI RIDERS which starred Darby Hinton.

One of the two lead actresses was an appealing gal name of Karen Fredrik. A bit of internet searching reveals that Karen Fredrik (now Karen Fredrik Gardner) is a Facebook friend of our very own BK!

Who knew?

BK, how is it that you know Karen Fredrik?

And can you please ask her why she stopped acting? She was really quite good in this movie and so very cute (almost as cute as the guy who played opposite her)

And...

After basically a 12-hour trip from Richmond - which consisted of six and a half hours of actual travel time and five and a half hours of "assorted" waits - I'm back in NYC!

Whew!

See y'all in the morning!

And...

Goodnight.
